Life Transitions

Becoming a parent, divorce, loss of a job, retirement, or empty nest; just a few examples of life transitions that can be challenging to navigate and can feel isolating.

Brainspotting

I offer Brainspotting, a powerful brain-body based technique using a point in space that connects to the deep brain and facilitates the release and reprocessing of trauma-related events and other blocks to healing.

Between the stimulus and response, there is a space. And in that space lies our freedom and power to choose our responses. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

Viktor Frankl

You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith, and hope.

Insurance

I am not credentialed with insurance companies to provide therapy services. Although I do not bill insurance companies directly, at your request I will provide you with a statement that you can then submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please be aware that submitting an invoice for reimbursement carries a certain amount of risk, as we cannot control how your information is used once submitted. Not all therapeutic issues are reimbursable; it is your responsibility to verify the specifics of your coverage. Contact your insurance provider to find out if they will reimburse you directly for the out-of-network services you are seeking.

Good Faith Estimate &
No Surprises Act

Per the Federal “No Surprises Act”, you have the right to request a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
